Houston Licensed Professional Counselors Association
To recognize Autism Awareness month, we will focus on services geared towards adults in the area. We will have a speaker to give an overview of types of services and programs available.
In addition, we will have a special guest speaker- Paul Louden. He was diagnosed as an adult as having autism, and will be sharing his story and perspective with us!
According to his website http://loudenonautism.com/, "Paul Louden is a noted public speaker, radio show host, and autism advocate. As an adult on the autism spectrum, Paul is able to provide a unique perspective into the autistic mind. "
He recently published a book entitled "Behind the Locked Door- Understanding my Life as an Autistic". He is actually the #1 best seller in the inclusive education category right now.
We will have an opportunity to purchase his book after the meeting- please bring cash or checks. Special discounted price of $10.00.
If you can't make the meeting, you can also purchase his book on Amazon at this link https://www.amazon.com/Behind-Locked-Door-Understanding-Autistic/dp/0998255009/
We meet on the Houston Baptist University campus, (near Hwy 59 and Beechnut), in the Hinton Center Building Room 139. For directions, call 281-649-3000. Use entrance #3 off Beechnut.
