Women, Hormones, Stress, and Anxiety: Unique Experiences or a Figment of the Imagination?

Are women more vulnerable to anxiety and stress? Do hormonal differences between men and women play a role in anxiety and stress?

Join us as we view a very informative lecture offered by Psychologist Valentina Munoz, Ph.D. Learn to understand and distinguish the difference between normal vs dysfunctional anxiety, understand gender differences related to anxiety and stress, recognize common pitfalls of Anxiety Disorder, receive basic information on ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and the importance of giving meaning to life values. Be ready to engage in lively discussion!

Presenter: Jana Gaston-Hull is a Licensed Professional Counseling Supervisor, Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern, Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker - Independent Practice Recognized, and clinically trained play therapist practicing in the Houston and Fort Bend County areas.

Ms. Gaston-Hull has been providing counseling, social work, and training for over thirty years counseling patients as young as 16 months to geriatrics. Her clinical approach is eclectic meeting clients where they are and aiding them with their travel through life's journey.

Ms. Gaston-Hull is currently in a private practice.
